I remember writing these two little intertwiney guitar parts one day at Dallin's house. We stuck with it because his brother-in-law Pete (who is innately cool) said that he liked it. It was about something, but I forget what. Also, the instrumental bridge on this song will one day be regarded as the height of western civilization.
lyrics
Sometimes things like this
Stack up over time,
And when they finally hit,
It’s so hard to describe.
I thought that you were gone forever,
But you came back stronger than ever.
The connecting lines hold us down.
When I found this gold,
Hidden in this vase,
My troubles ran away,
And sorrow hid its face.
I thought that they’d be gone forever,
But they came back stronger than ever.
The connecting lines hold us down.
Tried to run away,
But darkness found its place.
Tried to yell for help,
But it was smothering my face.
You thought that I’d be gone forever,
But I’ll be back, stronger than ever.
